“It might be crazy what I’m about to say. Sunshine she’s here and I can take a break. Like a hot air ballon I can go to space, cause in the air I don’t care, I can find my way.” – Pharrel Williams
Well yes it’s really crazy what I am about to say (now). It took me 20 years to realize what I am about to say. Everyday I wake-up and find my way to the center of my inner being, to know myself more today so that I can be acquainted with myself of tomorrow. Now I can understand more of the greater purpose that I serve in the big dreams that I have. My mindset has changed and now everyday I look forward to contributing to today. This is what makes me happy.
I continue to be amazed at all the multimedia projects that I have worked on. I believe in the powers of sharing stories as a vehicle towards mindfulness. Simply put many of these projects were dreams that came to my mind with the intention of using them to promote awareness through stories. This makes me happy.
For me, one of my creative gifts is producing stories from videos not only in an artistic way. I am always striving towards the art of storytelling and cinematography. This expands my creativity with camera gear and I know each video is better than the one before. What’s more important is striving to produce (i.e. create) something from nothing in a way that I can only offer it to the world. This is my gift of grace and I am happy to embrace it.
I love storytelling and the process of it because it has the potential to get into the soul of many and it brings about transparency. One of the best feelings in the world is knowing that somebody can identify themselves within the character. Each story takes a few days to film and probably a couple months or more to edit with endless revisions until it flows, sparkles and is then condensed into 6 minutes (or less).
I’m happy to fulfill my talent and purpose by being who I am. I am happy to make a connection with people and to be trusted to safeguard their stories. I am happy to have visited these amazing countries and to understand another person’s point of view. Cause I’m so happy to strive towards the goal and persevere to produce a great story.
